Fire Prevention Education

Fire Prevention Education is meant to assist in helping members of the community know what they can do to help prevent fires, and also what they should do in the event of a fire.

Kitchen Trailer Demonstration
Fire Prevention Week

The Duluth Fire Department holds many different events throughout the month of October, with the focus of education taking place during Fire Prevention Week. This annual event is held the week that falls closest to October 9th. These dates are picked to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1873. Some events of particular interest include our Open House, Win a Ride to School contest, and an influx of our Grade School Presentations.
